Dr Shaghik Atakaramians is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW Sydney. She is the founding leader of Terahertz Innovation Group and Laboratory at UNSW. Currently, she serves as an Associate Editor of APL Photonics, AIP publishing. She is a senior IEEE and senior OPTICA member. She is the recipient of 2024 Zhenyi Wang Award for Excellence of her outstanding contributions to the Science of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves. Her current research interests involve terahertz waveguide-based devcies for communication, sesning and imaging.

Dr Deepak Mishra (Senior Member, IEEE) is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW Sydney. He has also served as a visiting researcher at Northeastern University, USA, the University of Rochester, USA, Huawei Technologies, France, Southwest Jiaotong University, China, and Queen’s University Belfast, UK. His current research interests involve energy harvesting cooperative communication networks, MIMO, backscattering, physical layer security, and signal processing and energy optimisation schemes for the uninterrupted operation of wireless networks. He was awarded the IBM PhD Fellowship Award in 2016, the Raman Charpak Fellowship Award in 2017, the Endeavour Research Fellowship Award in 2018, and the Australian Research Council DECRA in 2022. Currently, he is an Associate Editor for IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON GREEN COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKING, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INTELLIGENT VEHICLES, IEEE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS LETTERS, IEEE COMMUNICATIONS LETTERS, and IEEE ACCESS.

Dr Wendy Lee is a Lecturer and Nexus Fellow at UNSW Sydney, where she focuses on developing engaging, hands-on learning experiences for engineering students, including cross-disciplinary design and outreach projects. She is part of the Terahertz Innovation Group at UNSW, contributing to work in sensing and imaging technologies with potential applications in areas like healthcare and agriculture. As a Superstar of STEM, Wendy is committed to improving diversity and representation in science and engineering. She also supervises Honours and PhD students in related areas and welcomes inquiries from prospective research students.

Dr Dominik Vogt is a Senior Research Associate at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, UNSW Sydney. He holds a BSc and MSc in Technical Physics from Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany, and a PhD from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. His research focuses on terahertz (THz) spectroscopy and device development, including waveguides, leaky waveguide antennas, and ultra-high-Q silicon microresonators. Driven by a vision to advance THz science and technology with meaningful societal and scientific impact, Dominik is building a collaborative, student-focused research program aimed at pioneering innovations in wireless communication, sensing, and industrial applications.

Qigejian (Alfred) Wang received his B.S. in Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2017. He received his M.Phil. in Electrical Engineering from the Terahertz Innovation Group, School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, UNSW Sydney, in 2021. He completed his Ph.D. in 2025 and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate within the same group. His research focuses on terahertz fibers, waveguides, imaging, and communication.
